Celebrating #Reggae and #BobMarley, Afar Music Group Presents #ReggaeFusionFest 2017


“Don’t gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver or gold…”, those powerful words from the late great iconic Bob Marley reflect Afar Music Group mantra shared through their celebration of Reggae Fusion Fest, a Mind, Body and Soul experience through music.

On February 11th, 2017, the 5th annual staging of Reggae Fusion Fest will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Afar Music Group invites you all to celebrate Reggae and Bob Marley’s 72nd birthday. The event which has become Pittsburgh premier Reggae Festival will take place at the Mr. Smalls Theatre. Hosted by Fyah Ras and headlined by international reggae artist ORieL & The Revoluters, RFF will also feature the sounds of international afropop Mathew Tembo & The Afro Routes from Zambia, Trith & Rites featuring Froggy Francis & King Banga, Lloyd Willacy, Jahques, Zapalogy, Lion Trod and an impressive art display and Live painting.

Speaking on the conception and mission of the annual event, Afar Music Group founder explained “RFF was conceived in order to cultivate a more vibrant reggae community in the Pittsburgh area whiles celebrating the life and music of Bob Marley, someone who has set a great humanitarian example for us all to follow. It as also given us the ability to showcase the tremendous talent the city has to offer.”
